Rare 11" diameter hand hammered 7-Metal Singing Bowl tuned to "F" - heart chakra. We met Suren Shrestha in November, 2007. Suren is from a family of makers of traditional 7 metal singing bowl from Nepal. The bowls offered above on this page are all from Suren's family! Suren now travels the world using singing bowls during healing workshops and consultations. In November, Suren played a "F" bowl as a part of a healing demonstration. Jill was so moved, she asked if she could buy more F bowls. Since buying the first, more F bowls have arrived one at a time. They are a phenomenal experience to hear. The bowls gently struck with the soft part of the striker, then moved up and down one's body. A real connection with Truth and Healing. We know that most of what we buy has come to us as a portal to be moved on to someone else. Tibetan Dragon Basin Known as Lung Ding, this basin is the source of all myths about the Feng Shui fountains. The basin with it's classic beauty first appears in China´s Han Dynasty. Four “Han” fishes can be seen in the bottom of the basin and two ears are welded on the basin rim. If you pour clean water into the basin and rub the copper-ears with your hands, sweet tones will be heard from the basin itself and four water columns of about 20 inches high will be spouted out from the mouth of the four fishes.
You can use this basin instead of the “modern” fountains, but without the noise and the electrical device. Put the basin onto a steady object, pour clean water into it to the second line, wash your hands and the basin ears with soap and clean them thoroughly, rub the basin ears with the palm edge of your hands lightly, instantly harmonious sound is being heard and the fishes seem to be alive, meanwhile water columns are spouted out from the fish mouths. There is an old saying: This sound and the water clean the house. It not only make you happier and stronger, but also prolong your lifetime as well. If you haven’t seen these before, it’s because they are relatively rare in the United States. Each bowl is hand-cast out of Green Patina Brass. They are authentic reproductions of a meditation water bowl that dates to the 4th century B.C. The bowls are toned similar to singing bowls. As the tone emits, small sprinkles of water rise from the bowl. Legend has it the higher the water splashes to your face, the longer you longevity on this earth. It took us about 30 minutes to learn how to play it and produce the sound and water spouts! This large bowl is approx 15" in diameter, 4.5" high and weighs 4.08 lb. $160.00 |
