Chakra, a Sanskrit term for "spinning wheel of energy", describes specific energy locations in the body/mind/spirit. These places where finer energy infuses matter contain the keys to our physical, mental, and spiritual well being. These centers follow the colors of the rainbow and the notes on the scale. They are associated with our minds as well as our bodies. They are our connections to Spirit!

CROWN Chakra - Cosmic Energy. Located at the "soft spot" at the top of the head. Pineal gland, Color is violet to white. Note is B. Sound Mantra: MMM (completes OM that was begun in sixth chakra), Gemstones - amethyst, clear & Keywords - Expansiveness, Gentleness, Calmness, Harmony. Goal - to experience oneness with the eternal now.

BROW Chakra - Energy. Located at the "third eye" on the forehead. Pituitary gland, Color is Indigo, Gemstones - sapphire, sodalite, lapis lazuli. Note is A. Sound Mantra: OOO, Keywords: Wisdom, Intuition. Goal - To balance thoughts & feelings with intuition.

THROAT Chakra - Either. Located at the throat. Affects whole Glandular System, Color is Blue. Note is G. Sound mantra: HAM, Gemstones- turquoise, aquamarine, topaz, amazonite, blue agate. Keywords - Inspiration, Creativity. Goal - To establish the kingdom of peace & share it with others.

HEART Chakra - Air. Located in the chest. Heart, Respiration, Thymus, Color is Green, Note is F. Sound mantra: YAM, Gemstones - emerald, peridot, tourmaline, jade, malachite, aventurine, bloodstone, fluorite, unikite, rose quartz, coral. Keywords - Love, Balance, Growth, Healing. Goal - To use Love for personal & societal change.

SOLAR PLEXUS Chakra - Fire. Located beneath ribs. Digestive System, Adrenals, Color is Yellow. Note is E. Sound: mantra: RAM, Gemstones - citrine, amber, gold tiger's eye, yellow jade. Keywords - personal power, happiness, joy. Goal - Control over body, mind, and life affairs.

SACRAL Chakra - Water. Located in pelvic area. Sexual organs, sex drive, Pancreas, Color is Orange. Note is D. Sound Mantra: VAM, Gemstones - carnelian, agate. Keywords - Optimism, Self-confidence, Courage. Goal - To do one's duties without attachment to results.

ROOT Chakra - Earth. Located at base of spine. Elimination, Color is Red. Note is C. Sound mantra: LAM, Gemstones - garnet, ruby, jasper, red tiger's eye, smoky quartz, hematite, obsidian, agate. Keywords- Life, Strength, Power. Goal - Mastery of the body so it may be used as a tool for spirit.
